ABOUT

Studio Roel Deden has been creating digital work since 2012. We love to work on socially relevant projects and help to solve modern day problems in a fresh and playful way. We believe it is necessary to connect the digital world back to reality where digital 3D becomes meaningful again. This is why the combination of 3D-printing, scanning and virtual reality are three of our greatest interests. These tools allow us to work faster cleaner and more cost-effective and even more important, it makes every design process much more fun and immersive.

ENVISIONS

Studio Roel Deden has become part of Envisions design lab in Eindhoven Since 2015. As Envionaires at Studio Roel Deden we explore the possibilities of virtual materials in a postmodern and artistic way. We mix digital and virtual techniques to develop new material experiances. Studio Roel Deden has become part of NEO design collective in Den Bosch Since 2020. As NEO at Studio Roel Deden we focus on connecting digital and physical materials to use in practical manners like configurators and animations.

The Printhesis Project was selected by a Jury consisting of Oliver Grabes, Vivian Wai Kwan Cheng, Heather Martin, Benjamin Hubert and Stefan Schamberg out of 2510 submissions from 67 nations and received the Gold Award.

The Printhesis project was selected as the James Dyson national winner.

INNOVATION AWARD
May 2014, Brain Awards Eindhoven
The Printhesis project received an innovation award from the Brain Awards 2014 Eindhoven. The Printhesis is a fully 3D printable prosthesis which is cheap, licht, modular, comfortable and one size fit all.
